Jesus Miracles in the Midst of the Explosion — How to Help

Lebanon’s economy was in free-fall, protests were a regular occurrence, and the Iranian backed Hezbollah terrorist group controlled the Beirut seaports, the airport and major parts of the government already. The country was on the brink of collapse.

It couldn’t get any worse. And then it did. It got way worse.

On August 4th, Lebanon experienced a disaster that will forever mark them as a nation. In their long history that goes back to the book of Deuteronomy, nothing has ever happened this devastating and it came in just instant.

At 6:07 PM in the midst of rush hour traffic, 2750 metric tons of ammonium nitrate exploded in a warehouse where it was being stored by Hezbollah for acts of terrorism. The deafening and horrific blast that occurred near Lebanon’s main port looked like a nuclear blast and had similar effects.

Sadly, at this point, at least 160 people were killed, about 6,000 were wounded, and 300,000 people were left homeless. The massive explosion destroyed the country’s main seaport and damaged large parts of the country’s capital. The detonation was heard and felt all the way in Cyprus which is 150 miles away. The country that gave the world the famed Cedars of Lebanon, had the nation’s heart ripped out in an instant.

The Divine Intervention at 6:07 in Beirut

You won’t hear this on this on the news, but our amazing Jesus was in Beirut that day.

The stories of His protection are emerging from the rubble. Uncharted’s National Director-Amir Salaam and others are now telling us their stories. These accounts are modern day Biblical miracles.

*Stephen is three years old. He was with his dad and five-year-old sister within a mile of the port and they were walking down the street when the first explosion occurred. His father grabbed Stephen and his sister and then the roar of the second blast came. But Stephen didn’t flinch. There was immediate chaos in the streets and Stephen’s father ran with the children for cover.

Once they caught their breath, he asked Stephen why he wasn’t frightened after the second explosion. He realized his son didn’t even seem to notice the bomb blast.

“Stephen, did you hear the big boom? Are you ok?”

The three-year-old answered very calmly. “I didn’t hear a boom daddy! Cause I was looking at the three angels standing in front of us.”

*Alaa and Hiba were in their apartment at the seminary where Alaa is a student studying to be a pastor. He was sitting at his desk studying and his wife was resting on the bed. After the first explosion, Alaa instinctively ran over, picked up his wife and carried her out of the room and stood holding her in the doorframe of the room.

They held each other tight as the building shook violently with the second explosion as all the windows blew out while several walls collapsed in seconds. They were on the 4th floor and they wondered if the apartment structure was going to fall over or implode. When they opened their eyes, the only thing standing in the room was the doorframe that they were in. The bed that Hiba was laying on had glass shards stuck through it.

*Joseph is also a student at the Christian Alliance Seminary. He was in his apartment also studying. Seconds before the explosion, he spontaneously got up from his chair and headed for the bathroom.

But then he thought: “Why did I walk to the bathroom? I don’t need to use it!”

Instantly, the explosions happened and when he emerged from the bathroom after bracing himself during what seemed like an earthquake… the bathroom was the only thing left of his apartment.

Amir Salaam sums it up this way: “You see, Jesus was there all along. He sent His angels. It was Jesus who moved people to get out of harm’s way. The Good Shepherd was protecting His sheep.”

And of course, our Jesus was doing just that!

Even though the explosion was in an area where many Christians live and work at churches and a major seminary, we haven’t heard of even one believer who was seriously hurt. Just a few cuts and scrapes which are “miracle marks” to remind everyone of how Jesus protected them!

Many have lost almost everything they own. But they are safe because Jesus is there.
